<![CDATA[BDI Workshop ]]> https://www.joineps.ca:443/NewsAndEvents/Events/Copy of BDI Workshop - August 15 The BDI workshop is designed to help students understand the BDI interview and be better prepared, for this stage in the application process.

The guiding philosophy for a behavioural descriptive interview (BDI) is that past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour.

The EPS interviews and tests applicants around six competencies required for a patrol constable. Each behavioural question relates to an experience or event in an applicant’s past. At least one question will be asked for each of the six competencies:

1. adaptability/decisiveness
2. initiative/perseverance
3. interpersonal skills
4. organizational skills
5. stress management
6. valuing service and diversity

Recruiters will be holding a Women in Policing seminar that will give attendees a chance to learn about a career with EPS from a female perspective.
