A-PREP Testing

Please note that candidates must first have submitted a complete Application package and be successful in both the APCAT and ACT examinations prior to undertaking the A-PREP.   

A-PREP Session Dates:

  • Monday February 13, 2012
  • Monday February 27, 2012
  • Monday March 12, 2012
  • Monday March 26, 2012

Start time : 0800hrs

Testing location: EPS Headquarters, 9620 - 103 A Avenue, Edmonton 

Applicants must be registered to take this test, either at the time of successful completion of both the APCAT and ACT exams or upon being instructed by a member of the Recruit Selection Unit.


NOTE :  Effective January 2010, the A-PREP replaced the PARE.

Candidates will be required to completed a medical screening questionnaire at the time of testing - PAR-Q +. It is a good idea to take a look at this document prior to your testing date in order to self-determine that you are physically fit enough to take the A-PREP.   This document is completed at the time of testing and is NOT required to be submitted with the Application.
