Salary
Salaries are on a graduated scale based on length of service and are competitive with all police services in the country. The annual Constable salary ranges from first-year Constable at $55,779 to Senior Constable Level II at $90,745. All salaries listed are base salary. EPS officers have the opportunity to add to their base salary through a variety of programs:
- Overtime (paid at double time)
- Court time on days off and/or time off
- Night shifts (paid shift differential pay rates)
- Statutory holidays (paid at triple time)
- Special event policing (paid at $73.58 per hour)

Shift Differential
Members who work a shift where half or more of that shift falls between 1600 and 2400 hours shall receive an extra $1.10/ hour. Members who work a shift where half or more of that shift falls between 2400 and 0800 hours receive an extra $1.20/hour.
Police Training Officer Pay
Police Training Officer (PTO) premium pay is offered to the Constables assigned as field training officers for the recruits during Block II training. PTO’s receive an extra $2.00/ hour for the duration of the designated training period.
Police Boot Allowance
All uniform members receive an annual allowance of $597.00 that can be used for any uniform tailoring or to purchase new patrol boots.
