Inside RTC #122 - Introduction to Initial investigations

October 21, 2011

I was really looking forward to the first class of Initial Investigations. As someone who likes to get to the bottom of any situation, I was hoping to hone my investigative skills!

The number one takeaway from the class: build your powers of observation. Look at things, notice things, scan rooms and surroundings, and remember if anything stands out.

After a short exercise on observation, we worked in groups to go over definitions. They’ll be a building block for the rest of the investigation classes.

I really like working with the recruits, as every one that I meet has their own strengths they bring to the Service. They are all so kind and passionate about what they’re learning.

I look forward to each day I train with them.
