A-PREP Testing

Please note that candidates must first have submitted a complete Application package and be successful in both the APCAT and ACT examinations prior to undertaking the A-PREP.

  • Monday, 2010 April 12 
  • Monday, 2010 April 19 
  • Monday, 2010 May 3 
  • Monday, 2010 May 10
  • Monday, 2010 June 7
  • Monday, 2010 June 15 

Start time : 3 sessions - 8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am -  applicants will be informed of their start time.  Applicants are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to their allocated start time.

Testing location: EPS Headquarters, 9620 - 103 A Avenue, Edmonton 

Applicants must be registered to take this test, either at the time of successful completion of both the APCAT and ACT exams or upon being instructed by a member of the Recruit Selection Unit.


NOTE :  Effective January 2010, the A-PREP replaced the PARE.

Candidates will be required to completed a medical screening questionnaire at the time of testing - PAR-Q & YOU. It is a good idea to take a look at this document prior to your testing date in order to self-determine that you are physically fit enough to take the A-PREP.   This document is completed at the time of testing and is NOT required to be submitted with the Application.
