Out-of-Province Applicants

One of the goals of policing is to reflect the diversity of the communities served. This enables police services to continually improve their capability to deliver service that is effective and responsive to the needs of the community. Police services are therefore looking for men and women from all backgrounds and walks of life, including people of various races, cultures, and religions. Everyone who has a strong interest in becoming a police constable, and who feels that he or she meets the qualifications described is encouraged to apply.

The Edmonton Police Service is accepting applications from candidates from other Provinces. The application and selection process is described in the Stages above.

For out-of-town applicants, all attempts will be made to schedule testing in Edmonton over a one-week period in order to avoid candidates having to make repeat visits for each of the testing stages.

All applicants should be aware that they are responsible to pass each stage prior to moving forward.  In the event that the applicant fails to pass one particular stage, the remainder of their appointments will be cancelled.
