Recruiting and Selection Unit
In order to meet the demanding recruitment needs of the Service, the EPS has a Recruiting and Selection Unit, made up of both civilian and sworn members. There are two sections including:
- Recruiting (responsible for bringing in potential recruits, pre-screening and testing)
- Selection (responsible for interviewing and completing background checks on all applicants)
EPS Constables with at least five years of service can apply and compete for positions within the Recruiting Unit. Members must have strong communication skills and be able to present a professional image for the service. A background in Human Resources can be an asset for entry into this unit.
